Profiling Your MLM Prospects
So let's begin to put a lead system in motion, starting with your MLM product or service information and your prospect's profile.
The term "lead" is used most commonly to describe the contact information for a person who may have an interest in your MLM product or service. Here is an outline of the components required to acquire a bona fide lead.
Who Are Your Potential Fans?
Your MLM product or service was created with a specific purpose that applies to certain people. That's the broad definition of your prospect that may be interested in what you have to offer. Matching the benefits of your MLM offer to the prospect who will be most receptive to them is essential; the days of the fast-sell; "my product is the greatest-buy it now!" are gone: today's smart consumer wants you to answer the question, "What's in it for me?" Using this strategy will also help you to pinpoint the avenues you can use to reach them.
From the broad prospect definition, the benefit your product or service provides will help you narrow your focus. Selecting a specific segment of the consumer market is commonly called "niche marketing" where you use identifiers to create your approach to the prospect, rather than take a "one size fits all" approach. Having all of the identifiers that relate to your market segment includes their level of expectation from the product and how much money they are willing to spend.
Start your MLM lead generation process by following this example:
- What it is: A muscle pain cream called "Pain Go-Away"
- What benefit it provides: Immediate relief from minor muscle pain
- Who needs this benefit: Athletes, Firefighters, Construction Workers
- Why do they need it: They are more likely to suffer muscle pain due to their activities
