Fuel Your Internet MLM Drive
Which Website Strategy Should You Use?
The very first section started with a comparison of your MLM business as a "vehicle" that you have to successfully maneuver to avoid an accident? Well before you can maneuver your vehicle it has to be operable and that means that all of the parts of the car have to be functional. You have to have the right engine, battery and transmission along with hundreds of other parts that are compatible in order for your car to run and for you to have the ability to steer it confidently.
So how is this related to your website strategy? Everything--because information about your MLM product or service alone is not enough. Without the right strategy to focus this information, your website will just sit there on the sidelines of the action and be ignored, it doesn't promote itself, just being listed in the search engine index is not enough, there are over 100 billion pages listed, 90% of them are lost in the pages after the first ten.
To fuel your MLM website your strategy must be in keeping with the mindset of the people using the Internet today. Take a look at the chart below:
|
Number of Users[1] |
Search Engine Marketing Revenue[2] |
|
2004: 812 Million |
2004: $4 Billion |
|
2009: 1 Billion |
2009: $10 Billion |
Part of that $10 billion marketing revenue is coming from your competition and other distributors for your MLM company. But the main thing to take away from these statistics is that it's in response to the increased amount of purchases online.
In 2004, websites were basically one-way communications: the website owner delivered a message to the audience and they responded or didn't. But there were only the most basic analytics in place and so many sales were lost because there was no way to see what the website visitor liked or disliked.
Five years later in 2009, the Internet racetrack has been repaved with a brand new way of relating to your audience. Now it's all about two-way communications and community. Visitors now expect to interact with a website, and user contributed content and a community focus needs to be a part of your website strategy to win the race for MLM sales. By developing information into content for your website you attract prospects, but unless you involve them in the process and discover how they respond to that content, you won't be able to fuel your website to make the MLM sales that you want.
